Physically Active Math Game

How do you get exercise, have fun, and learn math all at the same time? The following video from AfterEd demonstrates a new game called Mat-Matics that is under development. This game takes the idea of exergaming to a whole new level. It also has the potential to help alleviate two critical problems in the US: obesity and low math scores. It will be fascinating to see what happens with this in the future.

Awesome idea! Love the combo of exergaming and learning. You definitely have a something here. If someone can contact me, I think this would be great to feature in our "New Products" section of our Games for Health conf. coming up in May. My e-mail is ernie@xrtainmentzone.com.

I thought it was an awesome idea too. That's why I included the video in my blog. I am not affiliated with this project though. I simply embedded the video and wrote about it. I wish you much success on your conference.

I think this is where the future of learning and exercise is going -interactive gaming to improve academics and encourage physical activity. Best of luck! withersp@coedu.usf.edu
